YOU MIGHT RECOGNISE YOURSELF

Have you been holding everything together for so long that it feels normal?

Family difficulties rarely belong to one person alone. Together, we look at what is happening within you, between you and in the wider context of your family.

Parent-child relationships
When love is there but connection keeps slipping

A simple request becomes an argument.

You hear yourself reacting in ways you never intended, then replay the moment and wonder what went wrong.

There's a way through it — and it starts with what's happening between you.

International family life
When living in Denmark asks more of you than you expected

Unwritten rules at work, school or in social life can leave you unsure of what is expected. Without familiar support nearby, everyday pressures can feel heavier.

There's a way to feel more at home here — without losing parts of yourself.

This doesn’t mean something's wrong with you.

Because there's a reason behind it — more on that below

MEET DALIA KISLOR

Hi, I'm Dalia,
I’m a family therapist specialising in parent–child relationships and international family life.

Difficulties rarely belong to one person alone. We understand what each person is experiencing, what happens between you and what the wider situation is asking of your family.

A relational perspective

We explore the patterns between people, not only the behaviour of one family member.

A mind–body approach

Thoughts, emotions, physical reactions and protective responses all carry useful information. Some sessions are reflective; others are more practical or body-based.

An understanding of young and international lives

Ten years as a language teacher and my own multilingual background help me understand family life across ages, languages and cultures.

I offer a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can speak freely — including about the moments you feel uncertain about or are not proud of.

THE BACKGROUND THAT SUPPORTS MY APPROACH:

  • Family therapy and relational practice

  • Two masters in cognitive psychology

  • Language Teacher Degree & 10 years in schools

  • Trauma-informed and somatic work

  • Nervous-system regulation, Parts-work and ACT.

  • Mindfulness

My training supports the work. The relationship we build makes it possible.

HOW WE CAN WORK

A process that adapts to you and your family

We begin with what feels most urgent and adjust the work as your needs become clearer.

1 — A free 30-minute conversation

We talk about what is happening, what you hope for and whether working together feels right.

2 — Support shaped around you

Sessions may involve you, your teenager or several family members. We choose the format that best supports the situation.

3 — Understanding you can carry forward

We identify what keeps happening and develop new ways of responding that remain useful beyond therapy.

30 minutes - online - no commitment

« By helping parents find their footing — at home, and far from home — we give children the security and resources they'll carry for the rest of their lives.»

MY PHILOSOPHY

Healing is not about becoming someone else.

It is about finding your way back to yourself — and, when possible, back to each other.

I believe every behaviour has a reason. Every symptom tells a story.

Protective strategies usually began as attempts to help us cope. Instead of fighting them, we become curious about what they protect and create enough safety for new choices to emerge.

A PLACE TO BEGIN

You don't have to figure this out by yourself.

This work may be right for you if:

  • You want to understand what is happening beneath the behaviour.

  • You are looking for lasting change rather than a temporary solution.

  • You are willing to begin with yourself without turning that into self-blame.

  • You want support that is compassionate, practical and psychologically informed.

TESTIMONIALS

In their original words...

Dalia has helped me understand the special rules about working in Denmark. I was feeling bad and wanted to leave but now I'm happy where I am".

- Roland

— Violette

COMING HOME TO YOURSELF

You don't have to keep surviving.

Start with a free 30-minute conversation.

No preparation, no commitment — simply a chance to meet and see whether working together feels right.
